About Me

Naturalist, educator, writer

"More and more folks are moving across the digital divide. They live in a world of technology and a cloud of information. Have you made the move? Is this isolating you from the natural world? A world of unique plants, animals and people in biodiverse ecosystems. Join me in exploring your personal relationship with nature."

Be amazed, Denny

EDRblog

You can know something only through direct experience. Our direct relationship with nature is disappearing. Let us not lose our connection with the world in which we live. There are many benefits to staying in touch with the natural world and not getting lost in a virtual reality.

We live in a wildly changing and exciting time. Human population growth, technological advance and information overload is drastically affecting the world in which we live. During the last 100 years the growth and development of humananity has surpased the total sum of the previous history of mankind. This change is exponential and many believe we will reach a technological singularity in the next few decades during which human existence as we know it will be transformed into something new.

I am an experienced educator and writer. My training is in mathematics and the biological sciences coupled with real work experience in the private sector and NGOs. Currently I am the Okanagan field representative for the Grizzly Bear Outreach Project (GBOP).

As a curious seeker of knowledge, I believe that using your "voice of reason" will allow you to develop informed opinions based on fact and direct experience. Join me in exploring your personal relationship with nature.
